THE LEDGER
Every book
is a page.
They kept records of them.
When the church came for the ledger, the women who kept it scattered, and each carried a page.
A halo, they said, is only proof that someone was watched. It goes black when the watcher stops looking away.
The Society is what's left of them. Every book is a page.
01WHAT IT IS
A small group of readers who get my books before anyone else: unfinished, unpolished, still bleeding in places. No polish, no cover, no guarantees. Nothing dressed up. Just the thing before it's ready, and the chance to tell me what you honestly thought of it.
02WHAT I ASK
Read it. Tell me the truth. Then, when the book is published, leave an honest review. If a chapter drags or something does not land, I want to know. I am asking for your opinion as a reader, not edits, corrections, or notes in the margins. I have no use for a room full of people telling me it's good.
03ADMISSION
The Society is small on purpose and doesn't open often. When it does, it closes fast.
